About me

Joyce Kadibu

Welcome to my digital garden 🌱

I am a Junior Software Engineer with a drive for innovation and problem-solving. Specialising in JavaScript, I've led projects resulting in streamlined processes and improved user experiences. I am driven by a desire to make a positive impact in the areas of technology and education, a commitment I have actively embodied within my previous roles as a Women's Network Lead at Multiverse and Mentor at the Black Apprentice Network. In these roles, I aimed to empower women and POCs in the working world, nurture an inclusive community, and guide aspiring professionals towards meaningful growth and success.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I'm an avid glider pilot and surfer, hobbies which reflect my love for the outdoors and adventurous spirit. These activities not only rejuvenate my mind and body but also inspire creativity and resilience, qualities that I bring to my work as a professional.

TLDR: I build digital products to support business needs 💻

Front-end

A digital hub for the Imperial College Gliding Club, providing information and resources for both current members and those with a keen interest in gliding. The site follows a user-centric design philosophy, aimed at catering to users' preferences and behaviours.

This project allowed me to combine my love for gliding and coding. As a gliding club member, I eagerly set out to create a frontend website that not only captured the essence of the sport to those interested in joining, but also catered to the needs of our current community.

Full stack

A video interview platform which simulates real interview scenarios. Participants can choose from a list of interview questions, record their answers and playback their responses to evaluate and improve performance. It includes robust multi-layered user authentication using industry-standard secure protocols for users to have the ability to save videos and personal information securely.

This project idea originated from a career workshop I attended at Imperial. Creating this platform allowed me to refine both technical coding abilities and the art of communication.

Front end

A web application that lets you step back in time and explore your avourite websites as they appeared a decade ago. With just a click, you can rediscover the design, content, and nostalgia of the online world from the past.
